2026: A Year of New Opportunities!

As we move into the new year, we want to take a moment to reflect and look ahead.

The final months of 2025 were largely dedicated to development and refinement behind the scenes. Over the past three months, we have been working intensively on the VHL CPT-01 Certification Exam, with a strong focus on realistic assessment scenarios, technical depth, and alignment with real-world penetration testing practices. This work is now nearing completion, and the CPT-01 exam is scheduled for release in early 2026. We are currently preparing the deployment of the exam infrastructure to our EU and US servers to begin the first testing phase.

This certification exam will not replace the current course completion requirements, which involve completing a defined number of lab machines and submitting a report. Instead, it will serve as an additional, challenging learning experience in which the knowledge and skills gained during the labs will be put to the test.

If you are a former or current VHL student and interested in being among the first to obtain the new certification, make sure to follow us or subscribe to our newsletter. Early participants will receive a special launch discount.

At the same time, planning is underway for new products and platform updates. While details will be shared later, these efforts are aimed at expanding the VHL offering while maintaining the hands-on, technical approach that defines the Virtual Hacking Labs since 2016.

We are also preparing updates for the IoT Penetration Testing course, with improvements and additions planned in the near future to reflect current research and evolving attack techniques.

We would like to thank everyone who trained with us, provided feedback, and contributed to the VHL community over the past year. We wish you a productive 2026, filled with new challenges and opportunities to continue developing your skills!
