The Virtual Hacking Labs has launched!
Today we have finally launched the Virtual Hacking Labs for the public! After almost a year of hard work we can offer our students a full self paced penetration testing course that includes lab access to 30 machines that are vulnerable by design. All lab machines have been carefully developed by us in such way that they contribute to a specific learning experience. Learn about exploiting SMB vulnerabilities, SQL injection, SNMP enumeration, code analysis, reverse shells and Metasploit in the courseware and practice techniques in the Virtual Hacking Labs. The Virtual Hacking Labs contain machines both beginner and advanced machines. When you have no experience in penetration testing we will teach you how to do it.
What happens after signing up?
After signing up to the Virtual Hacking Labs we will verify the order details. Within a couple hours after ordering you will get a few e-mails containing:
- Credentials to access the Virtual Hacking Labs.
- Download links for 2 VM’s: Kali Linux 2017.1 & Parrot OS 3.5 (We suggest to use Kali Linux 2017.1).
- Download link for the PDF courseware (included with 1 month pass or greater).
The subscription to the Virtual Hacking Labs also includes access to online courseware which can be found on the course page. The course page contains all the courseware from the PDF and functionality to keep track of your progress. Of course you can also use the PDF as courseware (or a print) if you prefer that over the online courseware and purchased a month subscription or greater. The penetration testing course is self paced, this means that we don’t offer support, spoilers or guidance on lab machines and courseware. This will also improve your research and problem solving skills.
We are planning to update the courseware on a biweekly basis. Updates can be downloaded using the download link in your user panel.
Accessing the Virtual Hacking Labs
We suggest that you go trough the courseware first before accessing the labs. The courseware contains most information that is needed to compromise hosts in the lab network. When you’re ready to access the lab network you can choose to download one of the pre-installed VM’s or just download the VPN software and install it on your own pentesting machine. The courseware contains a detailed tutorial on how to install the VPN client on Kali Linux and Parrot OS 3.5. Don’t worry about this, installing the VPN client on Kali Linux 2017.1 or Parrot OS takes less than a minute.
We are constantly improving our infrastructure, services, courseware and labs. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our products, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact form or social media.
